Seeds of Change
Seeds of Change is a fun and interactive way for employees to participate in the beautification of the Sandia National Laboratory’s New Mexico campus by throwing “seed pops,” palm-sized balls of clay, soil, and wildflower seeds into the drainage bioswales.
This activity encourages employees to take healthy and productive breaks otside, promotes site beautification, and provides forage for pollinators.
Bioswales are part of the SNL green infrastructure/low impact development that allows stormwater to slow down and infiltrate into the ground. Green infrastructure reduces stormwater surges and treats it at the source as an environmental, social, and economic benefit. Take a closer look.
